You no longer need to wear a helmet when riding your motorcycle in the state of Pennsylvania. This has led to many people deciding not to wear helmets when they ride. However, a side effect most people didn’t foresee is the amount of unique helmets people are now wearing. People can now place anything they like on top of their heads while riding.

The magnificent number of uncommon biker helmets that can be seen on Pennsylvania roads is fantastic. I once saw a man wearing a Roman helmets while riding down the street. The helmet had large red plumes on top and the rest was a shiny bronze color. The helmet was incredibly unique for a biker helmet and stood out grandly.

Although medieval helmets don’t provide the best protection for bikers, they are better than no helmet at all. They also provide a very unique platform that most people will appreciate. If you’ve ever thought about getting yourself a medieval helmet to wear while riding your motorcycle, there are a few other types of helmets you can look into.

For instance, you could wear a gladiator helmet with a spiked top. I would however advise that you get one that was built for reenactments so that it can take some punishment before caving in on your head. Roman Centurion helmets, Greco Roman helmets, Gallic Centurion helmets, and Thracian helmets are all wildly unique medieval helmets you can choose from. These helmets all have unique character which makes them great fun.

Some of the above helmets have plumes and some do not. In addition to this you can choose a face guard thickness. Open faces are a commonality for this type of helmet making it perfect for full visibility.

You can purchase all of these helmets at historicalclothingrealm.com. They sell all kinds of fantastic looking medieval gear as well as a few other items you might be interested in.

While your bike sits in your garage, consider sitting your helmet on a shelf or helmet stand. You’ll have a nice display set up while your home and a nice helmet to use while your riding. Consider purchasing both your helmet stand and your helmet at the same time. When you purchase items this way, you know you’ll be set up properly right from the start.
